Two Factor Authentication
Tabby uses two-factor authentication (2FA) as an added security measure to protect the login process of the Merchant Dashboard. This article explains the two ways of 2FA login on Tabby and how to use them.
Regular 2FA
- Enter your email and password on the login page.
- Check your email for a letter from notifications@tabby.ai containing a one-time password (OTP).
- Enter the latest OTP on the second authorization page. Note that the OTP is only valid for two minutes.
If your email server takes longer than two minutes to receive emails, we recommend using 2FA through an authentication app.
2FA through authentication app
The second way of 2FA login is useful for merchants who experience delays in receiving the OTP via email.
First time set up of 2FA through an authentication app:
- Enter your email and password on the login page.
- If the OTP email takes more than 2 minutes to arrive, click the link at the bottom of the page to open the second way of 2FA.
- Click the link to request a letter with a QR code.
- Scan the QR code from the letter using an authentication app of your choice (such as Google Authenticator).
- Enter the 6-digit code generated by the app on the second page of 2FA page to log in to the Merchant Dashboard.
